Winter Fulford

By Heather Levie

LCS Debaters Cameron Maltman, Geeta Narine, Jackson Harding and Arsh Momi travelled to De La Salle College in Toronto on February 27 to compete in a Fulford League debate tournament.

Students had spent the previous weeks preparing to debate both sides of the resolution "Be it resolved that Stephen Harper deserves another term in office."

Senior debater Cameron, and junior member Geeta (who move up to a senior level for this debate), competed in two rounds of cross-examination style debating, while first time competitors Arsh and Jackson competed in two rounds of parliamentary style debating.

After dinner, all members competed in a third impromptu parliamentary style debate.

Congratulations to all competitors for their hard work and fine performances.
