After an exciting Snowboarding season at LCS, three team members qualified to attend the OFSAA Provincial Championships.  Emilie Norris-Roozmon competed in the Level 1 Girls division while Jake Wahlberg and Michael Betteto raced with the Level 1 Boys category.  It was a great event with perfect hard packed snow, sunny blue skies and cold temperature to maintain conditions on the hill.  Emilie had a fall in her first run but clocked a time that placed her in the top 10 of the second run.  Michael had a great first result placing 17th in the morning race and ended up 40th overall in the field of 150 competitors.  Grade 10 student Jake Wahlberg managed to put together two fantastic runs and won the OFSAA Silver Medal in the Boys Level 1 Division.  This is the first time LCS has ever won a medal in this competition.  Congratulations Jake!
