Mental Health Week at LCS

On Thursday, May 5, Safe Space organized and ran a bake sale in support of Mental Health Week. Members of Safe Space worked together to purchase ingredients and bake many treats to sell to the LCS community. A special thank you to several Heads of House for letting students use their kitchen to do the baking, as well as thank you to the additional members of the community who baked items and donated them for the bake sale. Safe Space raised just more than $200, which will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Peterborough.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Bake Sale. Safe Space is looking forward to more fundraising activities next year; new members are always welcome.
To conclude Mental Health Week, we had a visit from several therapy dogs from East Central Therapy Dogs. It’s amazing to see how big the smiles were of everyone who played with the dogs!
