Our beautiful campus provides the perfect backdrop for every student’s participation in a well-rounded education. We understand as parents you may have questions in regard to your child’s education.   • What is Lakefield College School’s average class size?

    Students at Lakefield College School benefit from a teacher to student ratio of 7:1 and small class sizes that average about 14 students. These intimate class sizes allow our teachers to better connect with our students and help them realize their full potential.
  • How many students attend Lakefield College School?

    There are 425 students who attend our school approximately 290 boarding students and 135 day students.
  • How many students get offers of admission to university?

    100% of our graduates were offered admissions to university. Our Class of 2023 received more than $2.3 million in scholarship and other funding offers to university and/or college. LCS is so proud of its Grads who receive offers of admission to exceptional postsecondary institutions from around the world.
  • Why is Lakefield College School often referred to as The Grove?

    The Grove is an endearing nickname which stems from our history; originally named The Grove Preparatory School for Boys after the beautiful grove of maple trees located around the Head of School's residence. 
  • Will I be able to contact my son or daughter when they are on campus?

    Of course. In the case of an emergency, parents should call the school directly (705.652.3324). For conversation, parents should restrict calling during academic periods (8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), during study periods (8:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.), and after their child’s curfew.
  • Can I visit my child while they are on campus?

    We understand that you may miss your children while they are boarding with us. That’s why there are ample opportunities to visit. During certain events we have open house days where parents are invited on campus to see the activities their children are partaking in. Students may also be granted evening leave where they are allowed to leave campus to visit. Additionally, students may leave the campus during weekends, holidays and breaks.
  • Is tuition assistance available?

    We are proud to say one-in-three LCS students receives some sort of tuition assistance.  For those families who qualify, most bursaries will range between $4000 and $15,000. We distribute approximately $2.0 million in financial assistance annually.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.

We respectfully acknowledge that Lakefield College School is located on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil, and Georgina Island First Nations.
