A Message from the President

On behalf of the Grove Society Alumni Chapter, welcome to our Grove Society Alumni Chapter page. This page will serve as your portal, connecting you to your fellow alumni and to the latest news of what’s happening in the LCS community. The Grove Society is Lakefield College School’s primary volunteer organization that strives to bring together members of the LCS community for the advancement of the school and its community members. What is the best part? As a past student or graduate of Lakefield College School, you are already a member of the Grove Society Alumni Chapter.

The Alumni Chapter focuses on connecting with, and bringing together, alumni of all generations. In partnership with the Communications & Constituent Relations Office, we have achieved great success in recent years. We have re-introduced the Alumni Dinner and have greater involvement in the Andy Harris Golf Tournament. We are also re-introducing Thirsty Thursdays (at various pubs in the downtown Toronto area), family sports outings and networking events.

One initiative we are particularly excited about is the Grove Roots Mentoring Program – a program designed specifically to help facilitate the mentoring of alumni by alumni throughout their careers and various stages of their lives.

This year, the Alumni Chapter is looking to find new ways to connect alumni to each other, support alumni projects and careers, and foster the relationship to the school that we all once called home. Whether you’re in Kingston or California, Toronto or Japan - we want you to get involved in the LCS alumni community.   If you have an idea you would like to see initiated, are interested in re-connecting with old friends or simply want to do your part to contribute to LCS, please feel free to get in touch with me directly. I look forward to working with you over the coming year to show that the Lakefield difference has even more to offer beyond graduation.

Sincerely,
President, Grove Society: Alumni Chapter
