Every year, and every season, LCS is one of the most competitive and successful Division II schools in the Canadian Independent School Athletics Association (CISAA). Almost every LCS team qualifies for CISAA play-offs.
During the last 12 months, the 1st and Jr. Girls' Soccer teams captured gold and silver medals respectively. 1st Girls' Volleyball won the CISAA Gold medal at home. 1st Boys’ Soccer earned a silver medal at the Canadian Association of Independent School (CAIS) Championships and a gold medal at CISAA. 1st Girls’ Field Hockey played in the CISAA semi-finals. 1st Girls’ Basketball went undefeated and won the CISAA championship. Girls’ Hockey played in the CISAA championships. 1st Boys’ Hockey played in the CISAA quarter finals. 1st Boys’ Rugby were CISAA Silver Medalists, and 1st Boys’ Softball earned the CISAA Gold.
First teams have played in tournaments in Lake Placid, Buffalo, Cleveland, Kitchener, Quebec, Toronto, Peterborough, and national CAIS tournaments, in addition to scheduled games at independent schools across Ontario.
Lakefield College School coaches are committed LCS faculty members; some have competed professionally, at the university level, and represented Canada.
