There are 12 boarding houses
at Lakefield College School. Each house organizes house activities, often led by Grade 12 boarding students. Activities can include movie, game, or bowling nights, larger dinners and shopping expeditions to Peterborough, birthday celebrations, broomball and other sporting competitions, and local cooking classes. Like a large family, each boarding house celebrates the seasons, holidays, and each other’s successes together.
You can visit your friends’ boarding houses during Open House time each day to socialize and study. Everyone returns to their own houses or the Learning Commons for study at 8:00 p.m. Each grade has a nightly curfew time for lights out and internet shut-down. LCS endeavours to respect the privacy and personal space of all students, including your study time and sleep time, but there is always an Assistant Head of House or Head of House available to support you.
