Sharing a Hot Meal

Last Saturday, students volunteered to prep, cook and serve a hot meal for the Out of the Cold meal program in Peterborough. Their generosity made a lot of people feel great!

"No questions, just a hot meal. That's the philosophy the Out of the Cold meal program was built on, and for the past seven years, it has worked. Organizer Gwen Johnston started up the program aiming to rally community members together to make, serve and eat at least one hot, nutritious meal once per week. Paying no regard to the social or financial status of the people who walk through the door each Saturday evening, the program has served up thousands of meals during the coldest months of the year."
