Crossing Canada

By Dayna Taylor

From October 20 to 23, three LCS students competed at the International Independent Schools' Public Speaking Competition (IISPSC), held this year at Collingwood School in Vancouver, BC.

Ethan Jiang ’17, Arsh Momi ’18 and Alicetierney Prindiville-Porto ’18 competed in this challenging, four-day competition, against top students from eleven different countries. With categories such as persuasive speaking, interpretive reading reader, and parliamentary debate, our students showed a wide range of skills. Though the competition was fierce, these students held their own, and should be very proud of their results! We are already excited about next year’s competition, which will be in Winnipeg!
