In this module we will explore drawing and painting from observation. We will discuss different tools and techniques for starting a composition and work through the stages of the Creative Process to create quick on-site sketches and finished works of art.
Woodwind and Brass Technique

This module will allow you to work on your instrument technique. We will review the basics and then movie beyond to more advanced instrument techniques and recording. Students will need to have some precious experience and access to Brass and Woodwind instruments
Grade 10 Math Prep

This module focuses on practicing essential skills from the Grade 9 Math curriculum through problem solving and inquiry to help prepare students for success in Grade 10 Math. Instructors will help students to identify and address any gaps in their acquisition of Grade 9 content to ensure that they are ready for Grade 10 in the fall.
Grade 11 Math Prep

Core competencies will be reviewed, and instructors will help students to identify gaps in their acquisition of Grade 10 content to ensure that they are ready for Grade 11 in the fall. This course is especially helpful for students who have struggled with remote learning in Grade 10 math or feel that they have missed critical content.
Intro to French for Travel

We'll be looking at the basics of traveling to a French-speaking region and being able to communicate and be understood. Perfect for students looking to know how to make purchases and engage in daily activities in French Speaking countries.

This module will work through various genres to enhance your technique and teach you the tools you need to be an effective writer. From daily free-writes to polished stories, poems, and narratives, you will get to choose what you write and further diversify yourself as a writer.
Effective Essay Writing Workshop

Writing a good essay is a skill that many of us can find daunting and mysterious. This module breaks it down into workshops on the research question, research skills, organization, and effective language so that we will become much more successful and persuasive communicators.
Leadership for Young Women

The Leadership for Young Women module will cover stories and research on leadership that is specific to girls, and there will be some reading and reflection required from all participants. As a special treat, we will meet a couple of notable leaders, including some from the Lakefield community.
