The holiday season has officially arrived at LCS, and it’s looking brighter than ever thanks to our dedicated parent volunteers. Over the past week, families have been helping to decorate the campus, bringing creativity, energy, and festive spirit to every corner of the school.
A highlight of this year’s decorating efforts took place on Tuesday, November 26, when our volunteers—joined by members of the SLASH hockey team—carefully carried and installed a 100-foot handmade garland on the welcome fence. The garland, crafted by parent and student volunteers with foraged materials, showcases the creativity, collaboration, and community spirit that makes LCS so special. Ms. Ross’s Grade 9 OE class helped with the final 39 feet and will complete the full fence next week.
Throughout the week, volunteers have been busy putting up lights, wreaths, and garlands across campus, creating a warm and joyful environment for students, faculty, and staff. These efforts are more than just decorations—they are a celebration of community and connection, reminding everyone at LCS that the holiday season is best enjoyed together.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and students who contributed their time, energy, and holiday cheer—your efforts have truly helped make LCS shine!
