Celebrating the Season at Friday Night Lights

Our Fall Athletics season culminated in a demonstration of skill, perseverance and grit during Friday Night Lights on Friday, November 6.
The night kicked off with the semi-finals and finals for our tennis players, with Jack Freeman ’21 claiming the championship.
On the Lefevre Field, the Girls’ Field Hockey final saw Team Grace vs. Team Helene compete with Team Grace taking the game 2-0. The soccer teams then took to the field where spectators cheered on Team Troy and Team Jalal. The game finished with a 3-1 victory for Team Jalal.
In the McEwen Gymnasium, the Girls’ Basketball team competed in a Skills Competition with Team Abigayle coming out ahead. The Grad Volleyball players then faced off with Team Osman taking the match 2-1 against Team Scott.
A wood-fired pizza truck served delicious pizzas outside and the Entrepreneurship Club brought back the infamous Candy Stand. With well-planned timing and spacing for seating and viewing areas, students were able to enjoy a safe and spirit-filled night, cheering on their peers and enjoying time together.
Featuring halftime performances through live theatre, the LCS Dance Company and our Jazz Band, this event was truly a demonstration of how students and staff have safely and creatively found ways to express and pursue their co-curricular passions. Congratulations to all of our student athletes and performers, along with everyone who helped make this an unforgettable evening!
