Continuing the Conversation About Mental Health

In honour of Bell Let’s Talk Day, our students gathered in their Advisor Groups to talk about mental health and wellbeing. During their meetings, students filled out "talk bubbles" with what mental health means to them and what they're doing to prioritize their own mental health.

We love this simple piece of wisdom from one of our students, Sarah '22: "Make the most of every day."

On Bell Let's Talk Day, students sent out tweets, watched the Bell Let's Talk video, posted on social media channels in order to raise additional funding through the Bell network. They also participated in several initiatives throughout the week including:
  • An all-community discussion about mental illness and wellbeing resources available to students on- and off-campus.
  • A self-care station featuring tip sheets and talk bubbles.
  • A Kahoot game designed to increase awareness about mental illness.
  • Reading mental health books curated by Ms. Maher in the Learning Commons.
  • Colouring at the designated stations set up in the Learning Commons.
We are so proud of how the LCS community came together to support this important campaign. Way to go LCS!
