Students Celebrate at The Lakefield Santa Claus Parade

On a snowy Sunday, our Grade 10 students participated in the annual Lakefield Santa Claus Parade. To maintain local safety protocols, the 2021 parade operated as a “drive-by” celebration. Christmas floats were positioned along a roadway and local residents drove by in their cars.

Approximately 40 students worked hard over the last few weeks to design, decorate, and rehearse for the event. It was challenging to spend two hours in the falling snow but they braved the elements to sing, dance, play instruments, and spread seasonal joy to the many people who drove by.

Our Grade 10 students spend the year exploring Stewardship as part of their Leadership, Character, Values Program (LCV). It was wonderful to see this group share their positive energy, talents, and time with the community!
