  • Networking Events

    What it is:
    • Casual social events held through out the year for alumni community to network and learn. Each event has a theme. Previous events have focused on technology in the arts and how to effectively use LinkedIn
    Why we do it:
    • To gather friends of Lakefield College School and the alumni community to help foster alumni networks and advance alumni careers.
    How you can help:
    • Attend and bring your LCS friends and classmates to network with other alumni and learn helpful information to advance your career
    • Volunteer with the Grove Society to help organize events
    Timing:
    • Held throughout the year
  • Alumni Dinner

    What it is:
    • An annually held evening social event organized by Grove Society: Alumni Chapter exclusively for the Lakefield Collage School alumni community to gather, network and have fun
    Why we do it:
    • To promote and sustain relationships with the school and the alumni community in a fun social setting
    How you can help:
    • Attend and bring your Lakefield College School friends and classmates for a great evening out and dinner with your fellow alumni
    • Volunteer with the Grove Society to help organize the event 
    Timing:
    • Typically middle to Late November
  • Grove Golf Tournament: The Andy Harris Cup

    What it is: 
    • Friendly golf tournament and dinner held every year at a golf course between Toronto and Peterborough
    • If travel is an issue, a bus is often chartered for anyone who needs a ride
    Why we do it: 
    • To raise funds to support both the Millennium Bursary and the Grove Guild Bursary 
    • Network with fellow alumni, staff and friends of Lakefield College School
    How you can help:
    • Attend and bring your friends and family for a great game of golf and dinner
    • Sponsor a hole or donate an item or service to the silent auction
    Timing:
    • Middle of June (typically the week following Closing Ceremonies)
  • Grove Roots

    What it is:
    • A program for alumni to create a support network of relationships that has the ability to provide advice and guidance that is appropriate at various stages throughout their lives
    Why we do it:
    • To help alumni in pursuit of their career and life goals
    How you can help:
    Timing:
    • The duration and nature of each Mentoring relationship is determined between the mentor and mentee. Contact can be made via email, in person, phone or video conferencing
    • The Grove Roots Committee meets briefly twice a month to review matches. The time to monitor relationships will depend on number of relationships the committee member agrees to oversee.
