Visual Arts Students Take a Virtual Field Trip

Ms. Morencie’s Grade 12 Visual Arts students went on a virtual field trip in class this week, visiting the Dali Theatre and Museum in Figueres, Spain to wrap up their unit on Surrealism. With their virtual tickets in hand, students “travelled” to the museum on the Magic School Bus and explored the streets of Figueres on Google Street View before heading on a virtual tour of the museum.

We have used our transition to remote learning through Learning with Lakefield - Remotely as an opportunity for our students to continue to learn in authentic and meaningful ways. Our teachers are leveraging global learning resources and connections to offer students an engaging academic experience.
