Dining Hall Safety

We’ve shared how one of the most important things our community shares together is dining. To safely bring everyone together, we committed to eating together outside as often as possible (weather permitting) and we also implemented important measures in our Dining Hall so students and faculty can dine safely.

Signs posted around the Dining Hall help remind everyone to wear a mask at all times, unless seated to eat, along with maintaining a safe 2 meter distance from others. Tracks on the floor help guide people through a one-way traffic flow and provide visual cues for safe physical distancing. Dining Hall staff are wearing gloves, masks, goggles, hairnets and hats and serving food behind plexiglass to maintain a clean and safe space.

This year, students have the option to take their meal to go in a takeout container which are also compostable. We are continuing with our practice of offering compost, recycling and garbage containers to maximize our waste reduction.

While things look different this year, we are thrilled to be able to safely connect and engage as a community.
