Career Day Mini Series: Landscape Architecture with Helen Batten

The Guidance Team welcomed Helen Batten, an established landscape architect with Basterfield and Associates in Peterborough, to campus on November 24 to speak with anyone interested in the field of landscape architecture, architecture in general, or environmental sustainability.

Helen is a graduate of Western University and Guelph University and has worked with a broad range of clients, including our very own school. Helen and her team were integral in the design of our new waterfront along with many of the outdoor spaces we enjoy every day. She is passionate about design for human interactions with the outdoors and, as we all know, understanding ecology and protection of natural systems is more important than ever. Her presentation was a wonderful way to gain a glimpse into the life of a landscape architect!

Thanks to all those who came out to the session!
