Exploring Indigenous Art Forms at the AGO
On Thursday, Ms. Morencie’s Integrated Arts Class joined in on a webinar from the Art Gallery of Ontario to learn about Indigenous art and artists. The webinar introduced students to notable artworks from the AGO’s collection and engaged them in the critical analysis process. Students heard from arts educator and spoken word artist, Mahlikah Awe:ri who explored specific art pieces that captured themes of Indigeneity.
