K-Rod 2022

Our Katchewanooka Rod (K-Rod) took place Friday, February 25, carrying on an annual tradition of LCS’s version of the Iditarod. One musher pulled by six students from each paper house participated in slalom, long-distance, and sprint races on Matthews Field. Teams must cross the finish line with all members present, either on or pulling the sled. After patiently waiting for this event, which was postponed due to rainy weather, our students’ enthusiasm was higher than ever.

K-Rod is a spirit event unique to LCS that helps us to get outdoors and enjoy the winter season together. The combination of music, fireworks and festivity makes it a special evening to enjoy time in community with one another.
