Career Day at Lakefield College School 2022

Today, our students welcomed over 20 guests from the LCS community to The Grove for Career Day! Career Day is an annual tradition at The Grove providing students with an opportunity to make a connection between their academic interests and future professional endeavours. This year, students selected two speaker sessions to attend throughout the afternoon so they could learn more about guest speakers who work in fields of interest to them.

Our guest speakers’ careers ranged from architecture to marketing to law to psychology and more. What they shared in common was their interest in helping students learn more about future career options and navigating the upper high school years when making decisions about post-secondary options can be intimidating.

In addition to this learning opportunity, Career Day gives students, alumni, parents and friends the occasion to develop meaningful connections for the future.

We’d like to say ‘thank you’ to our guest speakers for sharing their time with our students, answering their questions, and serving as positive role models for what life after LCS entails.
