Waterfront Fun and Learning | LCS Summer Academy 2022

This week, we were thrilled to welcome our first cohort of Summer Academy students to campus, marking the start of two months of learning and outdoor activities at The Grove. On Monday, we greeted thirteen students who were eager to strengthen their leadership skills; improve collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills; and expand their lifesaving abilities.

Each day, campers spent hours at our waterfront, in and on the waters of Lake Katchewanooka. The activities and lessons in our Waterfront Certification are designed to challenge students mentally and physically as they develop the problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions around the water as a bystander, a lifeguard, and/or a swimmer.

It was a busy, fun-filled, and productive week for our campers and we’re proud of all they accomplished over the past five days.
