A Sensational Season for Our Junior Field Hockey Team

What an amazing season for this team of fearless athletes! Our Junior Field hockey team brought home silver from the semi-final game against Trinity College School (a), the first-place team in the league.
The semi-final game was a rally with both teams running tirelessly in an effort to win the match. Midway through the third quarter, Mae-Ling ’25 earned a hard-fought goal, bringing LCS ahead of TCS. The fourth quarter was heavily defensive, with our goalkeeper, Ari ’26, clearing the ball from in front of the net, time after time. The crowds dotted along the sidelines were on the edge of their seats as they watched. Cheers erupted when the game closed with a 1-0 win and earned a place in the final championship game.
Our Junior Girls went on to play Toronto Montessori Schools in the finals, earning themselves a silver medal.
“Although we lost the final game, we had an amazing game and our players demonstrated stellar teammate support. We saw standout performances from multiple team members, in particular, Peyton ’26, who shot the ball with such power that heads turned and the entire defensive zone cleared out. Shout out to Claudia ’25 who covered the entire field and seemed to be in five places at once. Kudos also to those who filled positions they don’t typically play, including Lauren ’26, Audrey ’26, Kenzie ’26, and Holly ’25!” - Ms. Reid (Field Hockey Coach)
