Stage Combat | Gaining New Skills for the Stage

Ms. St. John and Ms. Fraser’s Grade 10 Page to Stage (integrated English and Drama) class welcomed special guest, Tammy Everett, a trained fight director from Butterfly and Rhino to choreograph sword fights in the class’s production of The Three Musketeers.

This combat workshop helped our students with the show production as they learn the complexities of fight choreography. Everett taught them how to create exciting and safe fights on stage using real swords.

Creating fight scenes for 32 students takes intense rehearsal and careful planning. Tammy was able to highlight different styles of combat for the varying characters in the show. We look forward to seeing their new skills in practice!
