Cross Cultural Celebrations

By Vicky Boomgaardt

Grade 9 and 10 Global Learning Strategies students discovered one of the common themes across cultures was the idea of coming together to share food during important holidays.

On their last day of classes, students made use of the new stoves and ovens in the OE kitchen to bake Butterplätzchen (German Butter Cookies) and prepare Ponche Navideno (Mexican Christmas Punch).

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of their first term at The Grove!
