A Robotic World

By Joe McRae
Last Saturday, the LCS Robotics Team traveled to St. Michaels College School for their first VEX Starstruck competition. To get ready for this competition, our student teams have been working hard since the start of December to design, build, program and improve a robot.

Coach Mr. McRae was proud of the student's effort and persistence this season, as they worked to overcome many challenges en route to a successful day at their first competition. The three LCS teams placed 4th, 12th and 14th out of 52 teams at the end of the preliminary round, with one team moving on to the playoffs and losing in a tough quarterfinal match.
