Running with the Dogs

By Joe McRae

This past weekend 12 LCS students embarked on an amazing four day dogsledding adventure near South River, Ontario.

This year, instead of having to deal with the cold, our group had to deal with the rain. This was an unusual challenge for the students and the dogs on our trip. This challenge brought out the best of our group and despite wet boots (and paws) everyone had a great time.

We will remember an incredible thunderstorm on our first night, navigating flooded trails, waking up to a partially flooded camp and most of all our favourite dogs! Laurenz Oberbracht, Max Brandes, Rogelio Lozano and Chris Otto will also remember spending a night out sleeping under the stars.
