Peter Dalglish Art Award

By Dave Krocker

We are very proud to announce that Dasha Egudkina ’18 has been nominated as this year's Peter Dalglish Art Award recipient. The purpose of the Peter Dalglish Art Award is to inspire, encourage and recognize artistic talent at Lakefield College School by promoting promising young artists and their future contributions to art in Canada and beyond. In recognition of their father's affection for Lakefield College School, his love of the arts and his commitment to nurturing and supporting young artists, Geordie Dalglish ’89, and Kim Dalglish Abell, have established the Peter Dalglish Art Award funded by an endowed gift made in 2014.

Based on the theme, "what LCS means to me," Dasha has already begun the creative process towards developing a final piece, which will be presented to our Head of School and Foundation on the Friday night before Closing, June 2018. Her final artwork will be added to the the school’s permanent Peter Dalglish Art Collection accompanying the artwork of previous Peter Dalglish Art Award recipients John Huth ’18 and Jessie Pan ’16.
