Dancing Up A Storm

By Rachel Bemrose

LCS dancers have been busy performing off campus.

On Wednesday night, after a full-day rehearsal in preparation for next week’s Dance Showcase, Time's up., the LCS dance team performed flawlessly at a charity dance event in Peterborough. The Sweet Charity event brought together groups from 11 local high schools and dance studios.

On Thursday, the group attended CIS DanceFest at York University where they explored different dance styles during workshops with industry professionals. Ms. Dalrymple, Ms. Jackman and Ms. Bemrose were stopped numerous times to be told how impressed other schools were with our dancers' performances and professionalism.

These incredible young people have been working around the clock preparing for the school’s dance showcase next week. The past two days they have shown resilience, passion and what hard work can accomplish. We are beyond proud of what they are accomplishing with their craft and how they have represented LCS in both the local and Canadian Independent School community.

We look forward to share this with you next week at our annual showcase February 28 - March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bryan Jones Theatre! Times up. will also be livestreamed on Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. EST on the LCS Facebook page.
