Sharing Some Sweetness

Before everyone departed campus for March Break, Grade 9 French classes had the opportunity to share very Canadian experience with 65 local French immersion students from Lakefield District Public School. Sarah Thompson and Derek Doucet’s French classes shared short stories (in French) about Canada’s maple harvest, before the entire group headed across campus and to LCS’ “Sugar Shack” to learn more about how maple syrup is created. The students were then able to taste fresh maple candies with Garret Hart. This was a great opportunity for our students to connect and interact with local primary students.
