Rock Choir Keeps Rocking!

By Geoff Bemrose

On May 2, the LCS Rock Choir travelled to Port Hope to headline the annual Choir Fest event. This is an annual festival featuring hundreds of elementary school kids.

We packed up our instruments, jumped on the tour bus and headed down Highway 28 for the gig. Highlights of our day included showing off our new band shirts, a jam session on the bus, playing a seven-song, 30 minute set for a very receptive audience, and a being a part of a huge group singing of the Tragically Hip song Ahead by a Century, in tribute to the late Gord Downie.  This was an amazing finish to another successful year of rocking!

Listen to the Rock Choir singing "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors featuring Jewelian Rodrigues ‘19 on lead vocals and Noah Storey ‘18 on the piano.
