Encouraging Our Students to Take Risks, Be Curious and to See the Big Picture
At LCS we believe education driven by choice, passion, exploration and broad perspectives - bringing people together to solve issues - is important. Encouraging a willingness in our students to take risks, be curious and to see the big picture, is part of their experience—so is developing their creative confidence to actively solve problems with others while sharing their ideas.
Clubs like Lakefield’s Debating and Public Speaking Group, the Entrepreneurship Club, Robotics Club and the Model UN Group provide our students with opportunities to combine these skill sets and characteristics while discovering their own unique passions and the world around them.
Themed regular Intersession days also provide our students with exceptional out-of-the-class opportunities. Activities like building a Christmas float, participating in coding sessions or the 24-Hour Performing Arts Project, offer students unique opportunities to work independently and in teams while discovering who they are as individuals and possible future paths.
