Giving Opportunities

Program

Our promise is to create a program that offers our students unforgettable days—and our graduates a world of unbelievable opportunities. Our students learn in ways they never imagined. They learn through the relationships they build. They learn through outdoor education. They learn through international opportunities and expeditions to fascinating corners of the world. They learn from teachers who know them on a level that’s difficult to imagine. They enjoy individualized learning support…and are immersed in knowledge and experiences that only a program like ours can deliver. A program that educates the whole student.

Your generosity helps us to deliver exciting programs

We are so grateful for the generosity and commitment of our donors whose gifts have enabled us to provide unique learning programs of such tremendous benefit to our students, such as:

The Learning Commons

The Learning Commons offers a variety of programs that provide cutting-edge, individualized learning strategies and resources for all students; in particular, it has been transformative in the learning development of more than 225 LCS students with identified learning differences.

Irving and Ondaatje Expeditions

Students who participate in the Irving and Ondaatje Expeditions learn through international opportunities and expeditions to fascinating corners of the world.
  • The Irving Expedition sends a group of students on an epic canoe trip through northern Canada
  • The Ondaatje Expedition sends a group of students on an international adventure expedition, such as rafting in Nepal or climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania

Shaw Festival

This unique program allows students interested in the dramatic arts the opportunity to participate in a two day residency program at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake.  The students are coached by Shaw professionals, who provide workshops, and experience their performances as audience members.
