Grove Prep for Grade 9

In this five-day program preparing students academically and socially for Grade 9, students spend their mornings reviewing key academic skills and knowledge important for success in Grade 9 in Ontario schools. In the afternoons, they will experience a wide array of traditional camp activities and sports.

    • For students entering Grade 9
    • Students can get the most out of their summer by preparing for their academic journey and having an opportunity to enjoy our beautiful waterfront campus at one of the best times of the year
    • After a year of on and off virtual learning, students have the opportunity to enjoy a fully immersive authentic learning experience
    • Mornings focus on reviewing math, science, and English concepts and skills that are integral to a successful Grade 9 in Ontario
    • In the afternoon, they will experience a wide array of exciting and engaging traditional camp activities and sports
  • Accommodations and Facilities

    • Students stay in an air-conditioned residence on campus 
    • Shared rooms (doubles or triples)
    • Live-in residential staff provide supervision and support 24/7

  • GROVE PREP FOR GRADE 9 (AUGUST 15 - 19, 2022)

    Course Instructor: Wendy Darby
    In-Person: August 15 - August 19, 2022
    Overnight students arrive during a designated time on August 14th.

  • For Current and Incoming International Lakefield College School Students

    Any student who is not a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident of Canada must obtain a study permit to attend Lakefield College School Summer Academy programs. It is the responsibility of the parent (or guardian) to obtain the necessary documents and authorization prior to their student entering Canada to study.
     
    If you have not already done so, please contact your nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate as soon as possible to begin the process. For complete details of the application process and requirements, please visit the website ofImmigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to complete your study permit application.

  • Requirements for International Students only attending LCS Summer Academy

  • For All Students

    As part of the enrolment process, Lakefield College School will be asking you to complete several forms as part of your registration, including providing health information, arranging for health insurance, naming a Canadian Legal Guardian, etc. 
Please note: All programs are subject to enrolment and may be cancelled; in this case, students will be offered a refund. Students will be given the opportunity to transfer to another program should their primary selection be cancelled.
