Research Intensive: Health in Society
This five-day enrichment program will introduce students entering Grades 11 and 12 to the research process, helping them understand how scientific knowledge is generated. With a focus on multi-disciplinary "Health in Society", students will explore scientific methods to examine the physical, psychological and social dimensions of human health and wellbeing. This program will help prepare students to become involved with post-secondary academic research.

Students learn about the research process
Students will spend their mornings learning from a York University Professor, honing their research skills. In the afternoons, students will have opportunities to participate in community service and camp-like activities. The overnight program is rounded out by evening programming at our beautiful rural waterfront campus.

As part of the enrolment process, Lakefield College School will be asking you to complete several forms as part of your registration, including providing health information, arranging for health insurance, naming a Canadian Legal Guardian, etc.
Please note: All programs are subject to enrolment and may be cancelled; in this case, students will be offered a refund. Students will be given the opportunity to transfer to another program should their primary selection be cancelled.
