This program is intended for students ages 13+ interested in pursuing certifications that could benefit them in outdoor water environments. This five-day intensive program will provide individuals with the opportunity to work toward their Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross lifeguarding certifications - or both - in addition to their Emergency First Aid in the mornings, as well as their ORCKA flatwater canoeing levels 1-4 in the afternoons.

The overnight program is rounded out by evening programming at our waterfront and on our beautiful rural campus.
Register for one of our online or blended credit courses in addition to our Waterfront Certification Intensive. Spend the week working on your credit course and towards your waterfront certifications all from the beautiful LCS campus. The best of both worlds!

Fees Students have the option to participate either as overnight (boarding) students or as day students (8:30 am - 4:30 pm/Monday through Friday). Complete both your Bronze Medallion AND your Bronze Cross Certification for an additional $125! Boarding: $1,300 Day: $550

Any student who is not a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident of Canada must obtain a study permit to attend Lakefield College School Summer Academy programs. It is the responsibility of the parent (or guardian) to obtain the necessary documents and authorization prior to their student entering Canada to study.

As part of the enrolment process, Lakefield College School will be asking you to complete several forms as part of your registration, including providing health information, arranging for health insurance, naming a Canadian Legal Guardian, etc.
Please note: All programs are subject to enrolment and may be cancelled; in this case, students will be offered a refund. Students will be given the opportunity to transfer to another program should their primary selection be cancelled.
