LCS Dance Intensive

In this five-day intensive, dancers will learn from experienced instructors who have studied at nationally-recognized and prestigious post-secondary dance programs. Past instructors have included graduates of Alvin Ailey, Ryerson and Sheridan Musical Theatre. The instructors will provide technique and training in Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Lyrical and Contemporary dance. These emerging young choreographers will work with students to create new works that they will have the opportunity to showcase.

Students learn to express themselves and their feelings about the natural world through dance

We will provide an open, creative and collaborative environment where dancers can individually express themselves through improvisational exercises. Time will be allotted throughout the five days to spend on-site at the Lakefield campus to draw inspiration from nature and strengthen a connection to the natural space. The intensive will close with an event where dancers share what they create with the public.

This intensive promises to be a meaningful and lasting experience in nature, the kind of experience that stays with dancers throughout their lives and deepens their relationships with the natural world.
