New Fitness and Wellbeing Facilities

Students and staff alike are excited about the extraordinary value and diverse opportunities the proposed new fitness and wellbeing centre will offer. This project will benefit all students while aligning with the goals of our health and wellbeing initiatives.

Investing in the Health and Wellbeing of Every Student

Our vision for a new fitness and wellbeing centre emerged as a direct response to the changing lifestyle habits of our students. The need to upgrade and expand existing facilities was identified as a top priority by students during the campus master planning process. As a result of almost two unprecedented years of ‘pandemic life’—characterized by stress and unpredictability— we are more intent than ever on prioritizing our students’ overall health and wellbeing.

The new fitness and wellbeing centre will be at the heart of our recently launched Fitness and Wellbeing Program that is focused on providing every student with a plan individualized to their particular needs. The Fitness and Wellbeing Program will provide a transformative and inclusive experience, ultimately enabling students to embody their best selves and help them succeed in all aspects of their lives today and in the future.

The skills and habits our students develop today will extend beyond their years here. Our teenagers will be able to leave LCS in Grade 12 with the confidence to engage in recreation, sports and wellness activities as adults.
