  • Three Grade 10 girls became passionate about Kids Against Hunger, during their Youth Philanthropy Initiative in Grade 9, and lobbied their classmates at Lakefield College School to support this cause this year. The entire Grade 10 class have committed to raise funds and pack more than 21,000 meal bags to be sent the Dominican Republic.

  • LCS students gathered their canned food items together "Bringing One Back" in support of the Lakefield Food Bank.  In total, 568 cans and $114 worth of "turkey bucks" were raised!

In The Grove tradition, students then competed to create masterful architectural installations with the cans they had donated.

  • LCS Students raised over $4,091.25 for their participation in the 30 Hr Famine. They celebrated by witnessing Brad Clairmont and John Kraus shave their heads - a reward to the students who exceeded their challenge of raising $3,600 to feed 10 families in the developing world. The $4202.65 that students raised is enough to feed almost 12 families each for a year. Congratulations to all involved! Brad and John, your haircuts look great!
