Graduation Requirements

Lakefield College School's academic program follows the guidelines of the Ontario Ministry of Education as set out in its document Ontario Schools Kindergarten to Grade 12: Policy and Program Requirements, 2011 (OS).

The school's curriculum and instruction are regularly reviewed by the Private School's inspection branch of the Ministry. Upon graduation from LCS, students receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.). The O.S.S.D. is an internationally recognized diploma. All academic courses at Lakefield have been developed according to the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education. Each academic course (110 hours of instruction) represents one academic credit. Students must earn 30 academic credits to receive the O.S.S.D. To be eligible for university entrance, at least six of these credits must be Grade 12, university preparatory courses.
