Contemporary Self Portraits

By Tayler Morencie

The Grade 12 Visual Arts students prepared their work for a Contemporary Self-Portrait and Poetry Exhibition that was displayed during the Dance Showcase. The exhibition is best described by students:

“The senior visual arts students are proud to present their self-portraits that have been created over the past two months. From creating surveys to reveal who they are as a person, to the finished project, all students were dedicated and strived to complete a piece that reflected themselves. The variety of art pieces presented here today, all share stories of challenges, passions, beliefs, and memories. Everyone has their own definition of a self-portrait, which is not limited to a portrait of your physical self." - Ryan Bowler ‘19, Ella Shanahan-Guay ‘19, Robin Anstoetz ‘19, Alli Duff ‘19, and Mitchell Stedman ‘19.
