Soaking up the Sunshine During Community Time

On Monday, November 8, our community gathered at the waterfront for our last outdoor Chapel of 2021. Our students and staff were grateful for the warm, sunny day as they gathered on the hill near the boat house to join in community, learn about upcoming school events, and hear some inspiring words from Ms. Kee about the power of friendship. “Many of us believe that friendships should be easy and require little effort, when in reality, we can’t have any meaningful relationships without putting in meaningful work. And that’s not always easy.”

“To have a friend, you have to be a friend.”

Ms. Kee shared stories about LCS alumni who remained in contact well beyond their time at The Grove, reminding them that the relationships they build now may truly last a lifetime. It was wonderful to sing together at the waterfront once more before our campus is cloaked in ice and snow in the coming weeks.
