Twelve Talented LCS Musicians Perform at Roy Thomson Hall for the CIS Music Festival

On Saturday, April 13, a dozen Lakefield College School (LCS) student musicians showcased their exceptional talents at Roy Thomson Hall during the annual Canadian Independent School Music Festival (CISMF). This event saw our students participating in various ensembles, including the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Chamber Strings, Concert Strings, and Senior Choir.

The journey to the big performance was marked by two full days of rehearsals and soundchecks. The culmination of their hard work was met with resounding success as they performed to a packed audience of over 2,000 enthusiastic music lovers.

What makes this event even more remarkable is that LCS musicians collaborated with fellow dedicated students from other CIS schools to form these extraordinary ensembles. Each student earned their spot through auditions held in the fall of the school year, showcasing not just their musical prowess but also their commitment to excellence.

The CISMF weekend provided a platform for our young musicians to not only display their skills but also to forge lasting memories and connections with peers who share their passion for music.

Congratulations to our LCS musicians for delivering inspiring performances. Their dedication and artistry truly shone bright on the musical stage.
