Ondaatje Challenge 2024: 15km Bike Ride

This week, 24 daring students completed the second leg of the Ondaatje Challenge: a 15km bike ride in the warm, summery weather. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening to hold this challenge. It felt like a June day rather than early May!

The time standards for the Ondaatje Medal require students to finish each event within 10 percent of the average winning time from the last 10 years.

This year, the standards were:
  • 15km Road Bike Female 33:29
  • 15km Hybrid Bike Female 36:51
  • 15km Mtn Bike Female 35:51
  • 15km Road Bike Male 29:48
  • 15km Hybrid Bike Male 32:22
