'Tis the Season of Giving

By Alaina Connelly

Over the past month, LCS has benefitted from the big hearts of our community members for two important causes.

Firstly, thank you to all those who donated clothing, sports gear, games and more to our Clothing Drive for the First Nations community of Neskantaga in Northern Ontario.  We collected more than 20 boxes of items and several bags of hockey equipment.

Secondly, the cocurricular Community Service program ran our annual food drive and received donations from all the Houses on campus.  The students sorted through the non-perishables and determined Brown House as the winners for the greatest donations received. All items were delivered to the Lakefield Food Bank Monday evening, just in time for their open doors on Tuesday morning.

Thank you to all those who donated the above causes. Your generosity for others is exactly what the holidays are all about!
