This year’s edition of the Andy Harris Cup: Grove Golf Tournament will be held at Wildfire Golf Club in Peterborough, Ontario on September 30, 2018. This date is the Sunday following Fall Fair and represents a change in both timing and venue from the past. We look forward the golf tournament enhancing our existing Fall Fair / Reunion Weekend programming, and we’re also excited to host the event at Wildfire Golf Club, an award-winning private course located in the heart of the Kawarthas.
The Andy Harris Cup is a Grove Society community event and relies on volunteers for support in a number of different capacities. We’d love to have your support! For more information, please contact Ian Armstrong ’83.

Remembering Andy Harris
(1925-2001)Andy Harris ’44 invested seven decades of his life in The Grove. As a student, parent, teacher, coach, friend, and play director, he embodied passion and wit every day. Retired teacher Dr. Rosalind Barker remembers: “He loved what he did, and had an enduring enthusiasm for learning, and it is hard to imagine Andy doing anything else with as much happiness and fulfillment as his career at Lakefield College School gave him.”
The Andy Harris Cup Annual Grove Golf Tournament honours Andy’s love for golf and the many happy memories made with fellow coach Bob Armstrong, staff, students and alumni. It is a tournament of team spirit, fair play, new friendships and a shared love for Lakefield College School. This year’s tournament is at Andy’s old golf course, the Peterborough Golf & Country Club!
