Health and Wellbeing

Health and wellbeing is of paramount importance at Lakefield College School and we are proud to provide a comprehensive holistic approach to health care.

The Health Centre allows students the opportunity to draw from a variety of resources that are readily available and easily accessible.

These supports include the following:
  • Quality Health Care
  • Mental Health Support
  • Rest and Restore
Services include a fully equipped Medical Clinic with Primary Care nurses, school physicians and Mental Health Counsellors. Our clinic can coordinate referrals to a variety of health professionals in the community for consultation and follow-up care. Emergency care is available 20 minutes away at the Peterborough Regional Hospital.

The Health Centre is accessible to all students during the school day until 8:00 p.m. A nurse is on-call for residential staff to contact after clinic hours in the event of an emergency.
