At Lakefield, students are surrounded by a caring circle of support that helps them settle in, feel confident, and thrive.

Admissions Guidance

We provide clear, friendly guidance to help you understand the admissions process. Our team is always here to answer questions and make each step feel simple.

Arrival and Travel Support

When a student joins Lakefield, we help you plan travel, understand arrival times, and prepare for orientation. Our Coordinator of International Students and Travel, Jen Horrigan, offers guidance so you feel confident long before the first day and supported throughout your time as a student.

Community and Cultural Support

We welcome each student with care. Advisors, House teams, and student leaders help new students make friends, adjust to Canadian life, and feel part of the community from the start.

Holiday Break Options

Support Before You Arrive — and All Along the Way

Traveling to a new country is a big step, and we want students to feel supported from the very beginning. Our Coordinator of International Students and Travel, Jen Horrigan, connects with families before arrival to guide travel planning, arrival windows, and first-day expectations.

Jen’s support continues throughout the year. She organizes cultural celebrations, dinners, and community events, and helps coordinate holiday-break options—such as supervised stay-on-campus programs, local activities and trips, and travel arrangements—so students feel cared for even when school is closed. She is a warm, familiar presence at Lakefield.
