With one of Canada’s lowest student-to-teacher ratios, Lakefield creates the space for you to be seen, supported, and inspired.

As a boarding and day school, Lakefield brings students from across Canada and around the world together in shared experiences. You’ll be surrounded by a circle of care that includes dedicated teachers, guidance counselors, advisors, staff, and peers who know your name, champion your strengths and help you discover who you are becoming. It’s an environment designed for belonging, and built for growth.

Where students feel at home in a close-knit community.
Our unique House communities—among the smallest of Canadian boarding schools—brings together roughly 25 boarding and 12 day students, along with dedicated advisors and residential staff. These tight-knit communities, made up of 12 Houses, are where you’ll develop lifelong friendships, share traditions, and feel part of something greater than yourself. Each House builds its own traditions, from birthday celebrations to spirited House events — creating memories that last a lifetime.

Spaces That Bring Us Together
Chapel brings everyone’s stories into one shared space—it’s where our whole community connects.
Three times each week, you’ll gather with the whole school in Chapel to share stories, laughter, and moments that remind us what it means to belong. Guided in part by students in the Community and Connect leadership class, each gathering blends tradition with diverse voices and fresh perspectives. It’s a space for reflection and dialogue—sometimes joyful, sometimes challenging—celebrating both who we are and what we aspire to be together.

Connecting for Life

From the moment you arrive, you become part of a global family of over 5,000 alumni, parents and friends of the school who stay connected through mentorship, leadership, and shared traditions. With over 100 dedicated volunteers involved in governance and school life, and close to 40 community events each year, Lakefield’s spirit endures long after graduation.
