Bouchard Family Thriving for Life Centre Opening

On May 23, 2026, during Regatta Day and Home to The Grove, the Lakefield community gathered to celebrate the opening of the Bouchard Family Thriving for Life Centre.

Students, alumni, families, trustees, faculty, staff, and friends of the school toured the new spaces with excitement. We’re imagining the experiences and opportunities these facilities will create for generations of Lakefield students.

Made possible through the transformational generosity of Sandra, Alain and Rose ’18 Bouchard and the Fondation Sandra et Alain Bouchard, the centre reflects the family’s longstanding commitment to community impact, human potential, and investing in young people.

“My husband Alain and I have been supporting Lakefield through our Foundation for many years, and at the core of our long-standing relationship is the belief we have in this school’s mission.” — Sandra Bouchard

Bringing together new classrooms, a fitness centre, dance studio, and Ingenuity Lab, the centre was created as a space where intellect, movement, and artistic expression meet, so that each generation may grow stronger, more resilient, and ready to lead.

“Thriving doesn’t happen by accident. Young people thrive when they feel safe. They thrive when they feel supported enough to ask the questions, brave enough to fail, and encouraged enough to try again.” — Rose Bouchard ’18, LCS Alumna and Trustee

We are deeply grateful to the Bouchard Family for their vision, generosity, and longstanding support of wellbeing and education at Lakefield.
